Youth Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons at Kennedy Community Center are 100% free of charge.  Each student will sign-up for eight 25-minute lessons, which are taught Tue-Fri for a two-week period.  Choose your student’s Session, Timeframe, and class.  Students may sign-up for multiple Sessions, but only 1 timeframe per session.  This year students may sign-up on-line, but still may also be done in person at the Kennedy Community Pool.

Learning the Basics of floating, swimming, and hanging about the pool.  Class goals include assisted submersion, floating, and swimming with head down.

Clownfish

Learning to master the basic understanding of swimming and floating.  Class goals include streamline glide with kick, back floating, and swimming with introduction to competitive swim strokes.

Cuttlefish

Mastering the competitive swim strokes and being fully competent around the pool.  Class goals include learning to enter the pool from a height, treading water, side stroke, and survival swim.

Barracuda

The top dog of the sea world.  Our orcas will master all aspects of swimming pool life.  Class goals will include snorkeling, pushing your aquatics abilities to higher levels, learning basic junior lifeguard skills of protecting yourself and others around the pool.
