Assessments may be done at the Kennedy Community Pool at 2800 South D Street, Stockton, CA 95207.  DSC members will need to fill out the County’s participation form prior to arrival.  There is also a $1 fee to entry the facility.  However, the assessment itself is free and will take up to 15 mins, but the DSC members will have access to the facility for the rest of the day at the pool.

 

The head lifeguard will work with the DSC member and complete their assessment form.  The form may then be taken back to the Delta Sculling Center.  Assessment forms are also available at Kennedy pool.

 

The purpose of this assessment is not to evaluate swimming technique or athletic swimming ability. Rather, it is intended to help ensure participants can remain safe, calm, and functional in the water until assistance arrives in the event of an emergency.

Participants in Delta Sculling Center programs will be rowing in open water environments in sculling boats, and this assessment helps determine an appropriate level of safety support and supervision for on-water participation.
